Hello and Welcome!

I am influenced by a variety of subjects ranging from the nuance of depth and reflection found in hard surfaces like metal and glass to the softness seen in the formation of fog rolling through the beautiful San Francisco Bay.

My work encompasses the compilation of layers of soft translucent oil paint built up along side the bold use of rich, opaque color fields. I favor contrast and use it in a way that can both soothe and stimulate the viewer.

My love to create began as early as I can remember. As a voracious reader with a vivid imagination, I was constantly inspired to express myself with drawings and the written word. I enjoyed writing both poetry and short stories accompanied by a dedicated practice of journaling. I have continued my reading and journaling and added in the exploration of heart and mind through daily meditation.

Working also in the interior design industry, specializing in lighting, I have been surrounded by creative energy and inspiration. For me, it is impossible to separate the worlds of art and design and I am continuosly overwhelmed by the beauty found in both.
